The Clocktower Luminous is a mechanical 3 hand dress watch based on classic British Gothic clocktowers. Housed in a 316L stainless steel case with 3D clocktower details. It features a full luminous dial with C3 Superluminova. Which delivers a green glow when the lights go out.
The Clocktower has a unique case design with flowers, diamonds, and arrow tips etched into each corner of the case. Pillars line the top and bottom of the case featuring etched arches for that authentic Gothic look. And a signed crown? Of course. As Area Nostalgia doesn't have an icon logo we've taken the flower from the case detail and etched it onto the crown - linking the case and crown together.
At 30mm in size, with a compact lug to lug of just 39mm, it wears elegantly on almost any wrist size. The Clocktower is just 9mm thick thanks to the use of a hand-wound movement, and the 20mm lug width means you can have endless fun with both the supplied and aftermarket straps. The Clocktower was designed to be a strap monster - so let loose and go crazy.

Luminous Dial
The Clocktower Luminous features a full covering of C3 Superluminova across the whole dial surface. There's then a thin layer of lacquer applied on top to give the dial a glossy finish. This was actually the first dial designed for the Clocktower range. Throughout the day the dial looks white with a slight green hue. However when the lights go out - you're met with a glowing green dial.
First Edition
The Clocktower is a watch that I want to make for the next 30 years - but these are the only models that will ever say first edition. Each watch will be numbered 1/100 on the caseback where it currently says 'First Edition'. So if this watch becomes a future classic - you'll own one of the first ones ever made.
Clocktower Case
The star of the show is, of course, the beautifully detailed case. The flowers, arrow tips and arches are taken from both the Manchester town hall clock and Manchester cathedral clocktower. This detailing is deep, with polishing on the upper surface and a matte finish below for ultimate contrast.

Absolutely love everything about this watch. A novelle and very personal idea of Kieron’s has translated into a gap in my watch collection I didn’t know I had.
As soon as I first saw the watch in the launch video I was intrigued because it was so unusual and, dare I say it, as far as I was concerned unique. And with its dimensions I knew it would look good on my skinny wrist. Added to that it was a limited edition and, unusually, had a mechanical movement.
When it arrived I was not disappointed. It is a lovely watch, beautifully crafted and with a 20mm lug width so a bit of a strap monster. It came with two straps, one leather, one Milanese and it looks equally good on both.
Would thoroughly recommend Area Nostalgia if you are looking for a well crafted, well finished unusual watch.

Kieron has knocked it out of the park with his first design. It’s a beautiful and unique design, well made and finished, and very wearable by either gender. It has specific details to him that become very relatable to everyone, making it a special watch to wear and add to one’s collection. Well done.

My home town is Manchester and I love wearing this every time I go. The luminous dial is the star of the show, it's perfect.
I tend to wear this watch over more expensive ones that I have.

Love this watch! My only issue is the strap. I have a 7.5” wrist and I have to wear it on the last hole. Add 1/4-1/2 inch to strap.

I have only worn it once. It's too small for my 7.5 inch wrist more suited to being a ladies watch imho. Design is good, don't like the name, watch face would look better with the actual name removed, giving a clean look. I will be selling it on.

I was would normally never buy a product of any kind without feeling/touching it. However as a viewer of keirins channel I was confident he would give us a good quality product and it would be value for money.
It more than met my expectations ( its a great watch).
my one negative is that I do not like the colour of the strap I picked and wish I had picked another colour ( my fault)
Love the watch. No regrets its a five star watch without doubt.
I was disappointed it arrived a few days after I had attended the watch show at Hampden, Glasgow. I would like have showed it off there.
It was a missed opportunity for the brand to show off.
Especially when I wore my Tissot Banana watch ( another marmite watch) on the day and was often stopped and complimented on it.
I look forward to the new watch Keirin is bringing out next week and may also buy it.

Honestly surprised how much I love this watch. On my just about 7inch wrist it fits like a dream and it took just a few hours of wearing it to get my first compliment on it from a non watch person. The lume works well and this has quickly moved a watch 3x the price off my typical daily.
